ITM's new Volo Carbon Tech stem was front and center on its stand in Milano. The new neck has carbon fiber wrapped around a 2014 aluminum alloy core that offers the light weight of carbon and the strength of aluminium. ITM uses a special layering technique that bonds the composite to the aluminium and become one integrated structure which ITM claims weighs 120 grams. Hoopwise, ITM is rolling along on an all-new four model wheel range, featuring two wheels inspired by their popular K-Sword carbon fibre integrated handlebars, K-Sword 58 (a 58mm carbon fibre tubular wheelset) and K-Sword 38, a carbon/Alu clincher wheelset. ITM's wheel offerings are rounded out by the mid-range Visia 28 clincher and entry level Alu 25. After enduring postponements or cancellations to four dual matches already this season, the Gators (3-1) were anxious to compete against a highly-ranked squad, but it was the Blue Devils (2-0) who rallied from a 2-0 deficit to snap a five-match losing streak to Florida, which now holds a 30-4 all-time record against Duke. The Gators' last loss to the Blue Devils was a 4-3 decision on Feb. 9, 2003 in the finals of the National Team Indoor Championships. Florida went on to win the NCAA title later that season. The Gators opened Friday's match winning the doubles point, sweeping all three positions. The No. 1 pair of sophomore Megan Alexander and newcomer Marrit Boonstra produced the clinching 8-5 win over Amanda Granson and Melissa Mang, after Whitney Benik and Lolita Frangulyan topped Tara Iyer and Reka Zsilinszka, 8-6, on court No.
Super Patriots: Ranking the Super Bowl Teams
The 1996 season started with a draft-day feud between Bill Parcells and Bob Kraft that carried over into the season and bubbled over in the playoffs. Forgotten in the mess of Parcells' last season is exactly how good that draft was. The first three picks were all major contributors. Terry Glenn was the controversial first round pick that signaled the beginning of the end of Bill Parcells in New England. In the second round, the Patriots grabbed a safety out of Washington named Lawyer Malloy. In the third round, they grabbed an undersized defensive lineman from Arizona that they thought they might be able to convert to a linebacker. His name was Tedy Bruschi. The 1996 Patriots would not have beaten the 1996 Denver Broncos.

As we wait for the Serbian police to examine our passports, an oil tanker pulls up, travelling the other way. “Where's it from originally?" I ask. “Look at the plates: KS, Kosovo," replies my companion. Just as he's speaking the driver calmly removes the plates in full sight of the police and appears with a new set in his hands. We get our passports back and are waved on to the United Nations checkpoint before I see for sure what he is up to. But I presume he is putting Serbian number plates on. New tricks The driver of the oil tanker is prudently sensitive but will he have to learn new tricks? A lot hangs on how Serbia reacts when Kosovo declares independence, with the favoured date at the moment sometime during the second week of February.

Sometimes it's edifying, enlightening, even fun to put local issues into a global context. It may be a small world after all, but things aren't necessarily the same all around the world. Consider, for instance, the hoo-hah raised by North Bay residents over the proposal to levy a $1 to $2 congestion-based toll on Doyle Drive, the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge. The toll would secure a federal grant for Doyle Drive and provide enough funding to get the unsafe, 70-year-old structure replaced. Highway robbery, cry the folks from the North Bay, especially affluent Marin County. Good thing they don't live outside London, which charges a congestion charge or cordon toll, essentially an entry fee, for vehicles driving into the city's central business district.

The U.S. military said videos seized from suspected al-Qaida in Iraq hideouts show militants training children who appear as young as 10 to kidnap and kill. It's viewed as a sign that the terror network hungry for recruits may be using younger Iraqis in propaganda to lure a new crop of fighters. .
